Eric Sorice began his legal career at the Fifth District Court of Appeal in Daytona Beach, Florida, as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Jay P. Cohen. During his clerkship, Eric Sorice handled a variety of cases on appeal, including criminal and post conviction cases, and assisted the judges on the Court in reaching their decisions. He gained valuable experience relating to appellate practice and procedure while working alongside the appellate court judges.
Eric Sorice joined Ponall Law in November 2022. Since joining the firm, he has successfully represented clients on direct appeal, in motions for post conviction relief, and in cases involving extraordinary writs. His wealth of knowledge has been an important addition to Ponall Law.

Education
Eric Sorice received his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida and his law degree from Barry University School of Law. He graduated 5th overall in his law school class. While in law school, he served as a Note/Comment Editor on the Law Review Editorial Board and as Chief Justice of the Moot Court Honors Board. Mr. Sorice took first place in two national moot court competitions and earned Book Awards for the highest grade in several courses, including Legal Research & Writing, Civil Procedure, Federal & Florida Evidence, and First Amendment. Eric Sorice has maintained his involvement with the Moot Court program at Barry University, as both a coach and a brief writing instructor.
