Cepero began her legal career specializing in criminal appeals and postconviction relief in both Florida and federal courts at Lisabeth J. Fryer, P.A. in Sanford, Florida. Ms. Cepero later joined the Baez Law Firm, where she specialized in criminal trials and appeals on a national level.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Cepero graduated magna cum laude from the Florida A&amp;M College of Law and ranked first in her class. Ms. Cepero was also invited to speak at the Fifth District Court of Appeal\u2019s Induction Ceremony in May of 2021 after earning one of the highest scores on the Florida Bar Exam. During law school, Ms. Cepero served as an Editor of The Florida A&amp;M University Law Review, authoring a student note entitled \u201cDeath or Democracy: The Battle Between a Florida Governor and a State Attorney.\u201d Ms. Cepero\u2019s article, Lost in the Supermarket: Federal Terrorism Prosecutions for Coughing COVID, was published in the Spring 2021 issue of The Widener Law Review. Ms. Cepero also taught analytical skills courses at FAMU Law during the 2021-2022 school year.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to law school, Ms. Cepero received a B.A. and a M.A. in History from the University of Central Florida. She also volunteered as Amnesty International USA\u2019s State Death Penalty Abolition Coordinator for Florida and as a researcher\/investigative reporter for Solitary Watch, a watchdog group seeking to limit the use of solitary confinement in American prisons.
